Oreo Cheescake!

Cheryl's birthday is tomorrow (Saturday). Cheryl Cheong.

I had to specify, because there are so many Cheryls in CS, and my life too haha...

Anyway Cheryl's an old friend I've known since JC, and by some stroke of luck she's here in GATech for exchange this spring semester as well, even though she's from NUS Architecture. Talk about coincidence =)

So I decided to use my new-found skills to bake an Oreo Cheesecake as a present instead! I hope it turns out fine! Preliminary tasting tells me it's super sweet and nice hehehe...

The ingredients...btw our "digestive biscuits" are called "graham crackers" here...The crust...painstakingly handmade...had to crush every single cracker to a crumb!The cheese and oreo mix! An entire cup of sugar was used in the making of this cake haha...The baked cheesecake!I purposely overbaked it slightly for a slightly brown surface because I prefer a more solid/crisp feel to my cake.
Finally, I grated some Hershey's Extra Dark Chocolate onto the cheesecake for added flavor and decorative purposes. You can see my newbie mistake here...grated the chocolate when the cake was still warm...hence some melted.

I promptly threw the cake into the fridge haha...oh well, if too much melts I'll grate a new bar tomorrow before serving :P

Let's hope the birthday cake will be a success tomorrow haha...alright peace out all!
