Shopping Spree!!!
Monday, February 2, 2009

I'm a very happy but poor, man today. Shopping is indeed therapeutic. I start to understand why AnF is such a crappy brand. I've yet to buy any AnF stuff (contrary to my initial plans of buying lots of AnF). Why would anybody shell out 40USD for a polo tee or 60USD for a shirt when you can get better brands at cheaper prices?

I think I'm turning into a shopaholic. On the good side of things, I think I'm developing better fashion acumen, and trying new styles. This shopping trip taught me that everything is "in the details". I'll explain along the way.

Now, allow me to run you through my purchases. BTW, please let me know if you find my buys good =)

Calvin Klein:
CK Boxers, $7 + CK Leather Bracelets, 2x$8 = $23
I've always wanted nice CK boxers...and this one is really nice...now, let's look at the finer details...
The checkered boxes on the boxers reads "Calvin Klein"...and the color scheme and design looks like a toddler's building blocks! Really sweet!

And the bracelets...I'm gonna try wearing bracelets with casual wear to hype-up my look =)

Tommy Hilfiger:
TH Berms, $10.50, + TH Basic Polo, $6 = $16.50
These were a steal. The polo tee is slightly oversized, to match the baggy berm cuttings. It looks good together, trust me.

Polo Ralph Lauren:
RL Custom Fit Polo, $30 + RL Polo Bear Series Tee, $17 = $47
I love the color scheme on the polo tee...and the RL Polo Bear series! I've never seen it before in Singapore...not too sure if this is a new series or something. Anyway, I'm damn sure Ah Bear will want it. (Bear, if you want it, you better let me know!)

Let's take a closer look at the bear.
See, damn cute right? And the finer details...the bear is wearing a white RL sun cap!

Guess:
Guess Graphic Tees, 2x$13 = $26
It's no secret that I love graphic tees. These have a rough-style that is a new and welcomed addition to my wardrobe. While the red tee's design stretches down to near the bottom of the tee, the white one only takes up the top half of the tee. Just when you think it might be a little "boring" due to the emptiness...
See? The back right corner of the tee...awesome isn't it? Love the finer details!

Nike:
Nike Graphic Tee, $13 + Nike Ankle Socks (3), $8 = $21
I figured I needed some "attitude" tee...and what better way to send a message across than to get them in BLNL ("Bright Like Neon Love" for the uninitiated)colors? Thanks WKWSCI! You made me dare to try wearing BLNL colors!

Converse:
Converse All Star Ox Optical White canvas, $18
Basic canvas sneakers to expand my shoe inventory.

Puma:
Puma Munich CC Sneakers, $20

This is a pretty damn awesome buy. Looks cool right? It's black, with army green threading, and a small dash of lime green near the soles, and on the "PUMA" logo. It's sleek (like all Puma sneakers) and the lime green catches attention, but sufficiently subtle to avoid drawing away too much attention from the rest of the outfit I'm wearing. Now for the finer details...

"CC" stands for "color change". Yes, these sneakers change color on heat! The texture of the sneaker is "leathery" and "bumpy", much like a chameleon, to match the theme.

Freaking awesome, I tried it. My sneaker changes from black to army green when heated. Watch the Youtube video here!

Oakley:
Oakley Flak Jacket Jet Black shades, $150

The mother of all my buys, taking about 50% of my entire shopping expenses. I've always wanted a pair of standard Oakleys. Love it.

After buying my Oakley shades, I had an epiphany. Shades are to guys, just as what bags are to girls. I shelled out $150 for my Oakley shades. The girls who went shopping shelled out $150 for their Kate Spade and Coach.

I'll never think that girls are being "silly" for splurging on bags from now on. AMEN!
Grand Total: $321.50USD

I'm satisfied. REALLY SATISFIED! I think I'm done shopping for a while, but there's a good chance I'll be hitting more stores because I'm the driver for my friends here, and they are not done shopping haha...

Do place orders with me if you have interest in any American brands. Watches, bags, shades, clothes, accessories, shoes...etc. Let me know the brand and model and I'll scout it out for ya' and buy it if it's within your specified budget.

P.S. big big shoutout to all the CS peeps I met via Danielle's webcam! Cheryl, Tehping, Siti, Zijie Tim, Iqbal, Rikesh and DANIELLE of course! Miss ya!
